As consumers, we are constantly struggling with making the right selection due to having so many options to choose from.
Our team at Nix Flooring & Design, LLC wanted to alleviate that stress. We recognize that too many choices can often lead to additional confusion and indecisiveness. With that being said, we offer a different approach.
Our philosophy is simply bigger is not always better. Our boutique style showroom consists of hand-picked product samples based on vendors and collections. We also devote countless hours every year to “product knowledge” with the sales representatives as well as attending international conventions with distributors and manufacturers from all over the world. Our passion for this industry really reflects in all aspects of this company.
Our designers and sales team are committed to narrowing down all the options by getting to know our customers and their lifestyles. While we are learning all about everything from location of the home to whether the customer has pets, kids or lots of parties (or all of the above) we’re brainstorming the materials that make the most sense overall.

Kenny & Heather Nix
Kenny and Heather married in 2001 and quickly learned at the tender ages of 20 and 22 that living on love was definitely not going to pay the bills! For years, Kenny had been working with his father learning the ins and outs of business ownership as well as installing, sanding and refinishing hardwood floors.
As time went on the industry made some rapid changes and new products were introduced to the market. Technology also advanced a great deal therefore an understanding of branding and networking became crucial to survive in the LowCountry where competition was on every corner.
While Kenny continues to learn and grow as a business owner - Heather practices real estate. Together they partner in various aspects on home improvement including remodels for their clients and flips for their investors. More often than not....Kenny is typically given free reign when it comes to material selection due to his exquisite taste and keen eye for design. They both love what they do and love working with people.
When Kenny and Heather are not working they cherish their time with their three daughters : Chandler, Rachel and Sami as well as their two Springer Spaniels : Brody and Zoey. Their favorite pastime? Boating on the May River and sunset golf cart rides.

Our Team
Adam Schultz
Adam is a Bluffton native, born and raised in the Low Country. After graduating from Bluffton High School Adam served in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the Marines, Adam studied Psychology at the University of South Carolina. Adam has been in the sales industry for years and takes pride in the long lasting relationships that have been built over his career. Adam has a beautiful little girl, and when he’s not on “daddy duty”, (which is rare), you will most likely find him on the golf course.
